The Best Peach & Pear Cobbler

This year since I have more room for freezer foods I was able to purchase some peaches. I froze them, and now I can enjoy them all year long. Here is where you can learn to freeze peaches.

In the winter time it’s not the best time to find peaches in the stores, so freezing them during peach season is the ideal way to go. I love to use them for smoothies, milk shakes, desserts and especially cobblers for desserts. This cobbler is just wonderful. I had a few pears on my counter as well that needed to be used so I made it a peach & pear cobbler. Hope you enjoy it as much as we did.

2 c. of peaches

1 c of pears

1/2 c sugar

1 c. butter, softened

2 c. of flour

2 1/2 t. baking powder

1/4 t salt

2 c. of sugar

2 eggs

2 t. of vanilla

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Place your peaches and pears in a greased 9×13 baking dish. Add 1/2 c of sugar on top of the peach and pear mixture. Cream together butter and sugar. Add flour, eggs, vanilla, baking powder and salt. Mix well. Spoon over the top of peaches and pears. Spread out with rubber spatula if needed to have it evenly on top. Bake for 45 minutes until golden brown on top. Serve with vanilla ice cream.
