My friend and I threw a baby shower for another friend a couple of weeks ago. I have been meaning to get this recipe up for a while, but we were on vacation. I apologize for the lack of attention my site has been getting lately. We were in Wyoming for two weeks looking for a place to live and other various things that needed to be done. My husband starts his job May 15th, and we can hardly wait to move.
Anyways my friend that we threw a shower for can’t have dairy. We wanted to do a ice cream bar, so we had to be creative. Someone brought a dairy free chocolate sauce, and I did the dairy free caramel sauce. It had a definite different texture then caramel sauce with milk. It tasted great though. I could of drank the sauce I thought it was so good.
Our baby shower turned out great. I was so happy so many people came to support my friend Alyssa. I am sad I wont be here in Washington anymore to meet her little boy June. Thank goodness for social media to keep in touch with friends.
1/2 cup of packed brown sugar
1/2 cup of sugar
1/2 cup of rich non-dairy coffee creamer ( don’t water down)
2 T of dairy free margarine
In a medium size sauce pan combine sugars, creamer and margarine. Bring to a boil over medium heat while stirring constantly. Do this until the sugar is dissolved. Then remove from heat. Serve warm.
