I on and off will use link up parties to help grow the followers and visitors of my blog. I have made it a goal to link up to a link up party at least three times a week. I want to be able to find the time to link up to more then I do already. My big goal in mind is to be able to link up to two a day. I feel like this would bring lots and lots more traffic to my site. I have see great results with new comments, more ad click and such when I do so. I also believe that it’s super important to help other bloggers out. We all strive on new comments, clicks, new visitors and such. It just makes our day, week or even month as a blogger. Bloggers helping bloggers is my motto for sure!
A few things I try to keep in mind when linking are :
* Read the rules of the party- some host(s) want you to link back in your post or put a button on your sidebar. Likewise, some parties will let you link only one post, some might be 3, and others might be limitless.
* Don’t link and run! Visit at least two or three other blogs- comment on their post, share it over social media if it really resonates with you. Sometimes this is a requirement but this is a good rule of thumb. Who knows, you may find your new favorite blog this way. And, in the process, you may also find some other linky parties to join.
* Try to be early. Sometimes this isn’t always easy to do but the sooner you get to a party, the sooner your links are seen. Some parties might have their links show up in a random order, so this may not be such an issue if you’re concerned with having your link show up early.
There is so much to do daily as a blogger. Link parties can be hard. I suggest getting a calendar or a planner for your blog to make a to do list for each and every day. You can put the link up parties on this to do list.
