I remember singing this song many times as a young girl. My friends and I liked to jump rope at recess. This was one of the songs that we sang as we would jump rope. This is the first thing that comes to my mind when I think hot cross buns. Who knew they were an actual food that is served during the Easter season.
In many Christian countries these hot buns are eaten during Lent or on Good Friday. The cross on top is standing for the crucifixion of our Savior Jesus Christ. Who died for all of us and our sins.
