How about that Superbowl game? I thought it was so fun to watch, and intense for sure. Our party was pretty indecisive on who we want to win, but we enjoyed the game. I was super excited to see that the Patroits won though. Go Pats! I remember last years game being kind of a blow-out between the Broncos and Seahawks, so much better then last year. Oh and what did you all think of the half time show? Go Katie Perry right? I thought it was great! Great entertainment, that’s for sure. We had my in-laws over for the game, and we enjoyed their company as well as yummy food. I decided to try my luck with making homemade mozzarella sticks for the first time ever. I love mozzarella sticks for appetizers whenever we go out to eat, so why couldn’t they be made right in my own kitchen. They turned out great, and everyone really enjoyed them. They were super easy to make as well. That makes it even better, and makes me want to make some more just typing this post up. Hope you all had a great Superbowl Sunday, and even though the party is over doesn’t mean you can’t have great appetizers all year long. Enjoy!
10 Cheese sticks
1/3 c. of flour
1/8 c. cornstarch
1 c. Italian bread crumbs
1/2 tsp salt
2 eggs
splash of milk
oil
Cut your cheese sticks in half. Be sure that they are cold. Mix together your flour and cornstarch in one bowl. Mix together the bread crumbs and salt in another bowl. In a third bowl beat together two eggs and a splash of milk. Heat your oil in your frying pan. Once the oil is heated you are ready to start dipping. 1st dip your cheese sticks into the flour mixture. Roll the stick in the flour mixture and get it all covered. Next dip it in the egg and milk. Now roll it in the bread crumbs, and cover it completely. Put the cheese stick in the hot oil for about 20-30 seconds then remove. Serve with a marinara sauce.
