These babies are my husbands favorite kind of cookies. I actually got the recipe from his mom along with many other recipes for my bridal shower before we got married. Whenever I make cookies he will hint that he loves peanut butter ones. Of course I love him so much so I make them whenever he wants them. They seriously are so yummy, so I can’t complain at all. I eat my fair share of them.
- 1-¾ cup Flour
- 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
- ½ teaspoons Salt
- ½ cups Sugar, Plus More For Rolling Cookies
- ½ cups Brown Sugar
- ½ cups Shortening
- ½ cups Extra Crunchy Peanut Butter
- 1 whole Egg
- 2 Tablespoons Milk
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla
Combine all these ingredients until well blended.
Next take a tablespoon each of the cookie dough and roll it into balls. Then roll it in sugar.
Place your cookies about 2 inches apart, on your cookie sheet covered in wax paper to prevent your cookies sticking to the your pan. Using a fork make a criss cross on each cookie like this:
Bake your cookies for 10 minutes, let cool before serving.
These are a quick and easy treat whenever you have a craving for something sweet late at night. I love this recipe because most the time I always have these ingredients in my kitchen. Hope these cookies become your families favorite as well. Enjoy!
