Cow Cheese Penne Pasta

Cow Cheese Penne Pasta

I love pasta. One reason is because it taste so good of course. Another reason is because it is easy to make a quick meal with pasta. Oh and I can’t forget that I love carbs and that’s why I love pasta 🙂 This pasta is a low calorie pasta though. That is another reason to love it right?? I used the little cow cheese wedges you can buy at any local grocery store for the sauce rather then make a high calorie Alfredo sauce for the pasta. I have been using this great app called My fitness Pal. Anyone used it? It’s great for keeping track of your calories and trying to stay within your bodies calorie in take it needs. Even it you aren’t trying to loose weight this is a great app to have a healthier lifestyle. When I put this recipe into the app it was only 230 calories for 2 cups of pasta. How great is that?

6 or 7 chicken tenders

garlic salt

lemon pepper

5 garlic cow cheese wedges

pepper

1 cup of chopped broccoli

4 small sweet peppers, chopped

1/2 onion chopped

1/2 cup of baby carrots, chopped

1 1/2 cup of cooked penne pasta

Take your chicken tenders and place them on a small cake pan lined with foil. sprinkle both sides with a little garlic salt and lemon pepper. Place them under the broiler to cook. Cook until browned. Cook pasta while your chicken is browning. Remove from broiler and cut into smaller pieces. In a skillet add all veggies with a little olive oil and saute them until the veggies are tender. Add pasta and chicken to the veggies. Toss them together. Add the cow cheese wedges and let melt in the heat and cover the pasta evenly. Sprinkle more garlic salt and pepper on the pasta and serve hot.
