Hello, My name is Clarissa over at mywifestyles and I am so excited to share with you one of my favorite beauty tips! But first let me introduce myself. I am a wife of 3 years and a stay at home mother, I love the role I play as mom and homemaker. My kids and husband are my heart, and I wouldn’t trade it for the world.
My husband and I both have had to sacrifice a lot, so I could stay home and raise our kids. One of my biggest sacrifices I’ve had to make was not spending extra money on beauty products or services. I can’t go out and buy high priced makeup or get my hair done as often, I don’t even get pedicures anymore… But that has not stopped me from finding ways to do these types of things at home. I’m going to share with you one of my best kept secrets to soft and shiny skin (perfect for all seasons).
You can use coconut oil scrub for a lot of things, I use it for my face wash, to exfoliate, as an moisturizer, I even use it to keep my knees and elbows lighter in color (for those who have dark elbows and knees), hair mask/moisturizer, and eye-makeup remover. I have saved so much money not buying store bought products.
You all may know that Coconut Oil is a healthier oil for cooking, but believe it or not, you can use coconut oil for almost anything. Here are some examples of how you can use coconut oil to enhance your beauty:
Coconut Lemon Scrub:
Instructions:
If your scrub is to watery, add a tad bit more sugar.
