A couple of weeks ago we had some of our really good friends over for Sunday dinner. It’s extremely hard to find friends that both you and your spouse like both the husband and wife of the couple. These friends of ours are that way. We have been friends for quite sometime, well the whole time we have been married. We just have a blast together every time. We have been super lucky to have several couples that we are friends like this be this way. We just have great friends.
Okay, now that I have given my spill on friends lets get onto that secret I was going to share with you all about dinner rolls. Well after having our friends over, my friend text me for my recipe to make the rolls I served. I was a little embarrassed at first to tell her, well because they weren’t completely homemade. But of course I told her my secret because we are good friends. Since the secret is out, I thought I might as well share it with you all too. Well because we are all friends right? 🙂
The secret is Rhodes Rolls! That’s it, its’ out. Well I guess it’s not just Rhodes Rolls. I put my own touches on them too.
Step 1: I go out and buy the small Rhodes dinner rolls. You will need to prepare your rolls 3-5 hours ahead of time.
Step 2: Take a muffin tin spray it with non-stick spray. Place two frozen rolls in each muffin tin spot. Cover with plastic wrap 3-5 hours before baking them.
Step 3: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Melt some butter and brush the tops of the rolls before placing them in the oven. Place your rolls in the oven for 15-20 minutes
Step4: With about 5 minutes left on your timer brush the rolls one more time with butter. Take a salt grinder and grind salt on the top of each rolls as well. Once the rolls are golden on top remove from oven, and serve warm with butter and jam
There’s the secret to the best dinner rolls. Sometimes we just don’t have time and want to labor over perfect dinner rolls to impress your company. Impress them with these Rhodes Butt Rolls. What my family likes to call them 🙂 Enjoy!
