Oreo Brownies

Oreo Brownies

Sometimes you get asked to take a dessert to a party, meeting or event, but have no idea what to take. Plus you forget about it until a couple hours before??? I do this all the time. This brownie recipe is easy and quick to whip up in no time. This time around I decided to vamp my brownie recipe up. I crushed a bunch of Oreo cookies and topped the brownie batter with them. They were a hit at the Young women’s activity I was over last night. The girls loved them!

1 1/2 c. of flour

2 c. of sugar

1/2 c. of cocoa + 2 TB’s

1 tsp salt

1 c. oil

4 eggs

 2 tsp. vanilla

15- 20 oreo cookies crushed

If you are not putting the oreo cookies on top I like to add chopped nuts to this brownie recipe. I add 1 cup of nuts when I do this. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9 x13 sized pan. Place all ingredients except the oreo cookies into a bowl. Beat together at medium for 3 minutes. Using a rubber spatula scrape all the batter out of your bowl into the 9 x 13 pan. Spread the batter out so that it is even. Take your oreos and sprinkle them on top. Take your spatula and press the cookies into the batter. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes.
