Mother Of The Year

I always get stumped on what to make my kids for snacks. I don’t want to it to be super difficult to put together either. It needs to be quick and easy. I have been looking all over online for some new snacks I could make my 2 1/2 year old and almost 1 year old for after naps. I am sure they get tired of crackers and store bought pudding. I know I do. You will be known as the mother of the year after making these snacks for your kiddos. Hope they enjoy them as much as my kids have. Here are 4 snack ideas for you to enjoy.

1: Chocolate and Bananas

1 T semi-sweet chocolate chips

½ of a banana sliced thinly

1 T of non-fat vanilla yogurt

Melt chocolate chips in a small bowl in the microwave. Drizzle over your sliced bananas and top it all off with your yogurt.

2: Yogurt bites

1 small container of our favorite yogurt

Wax paper

Cookie sheet

Cover your cookie sheet with wax paper. Take your yogurt and drop a tablespoon of it on your cookie sheet. Place the tablespoons of yogurt about 2 inches apart. Fill your pan up, and place in freezer for up to an hour. Serve to your kids.

This is a great one for babies that are just learning to pick up finger foods.

3: Apple Pie Sandwiches

2 slices of bread

Applesauce

Butter

Cinnamon

Take your bread and butter both outside sides. On top of the butter sprinkle cinnamon on top. Place 3 tablespoons of applesauce in between the two slices of bread. Cook just like a grilled cheese sandwich until both sides are brown and crispy.

4: Peanut Butter Yogurt fruit dip

1/2 cup of greek yogurt

½ cup of your favorite peanut butter or almond butter

Combine it all in a small bowl. Serve with any sort of fruit your kids like to dip with. My kids love to dip apples in this dip.
