Italian Sausage & Raviolis

Italian Sausage & Raviolis

Last week I did my grocery shopping in our little town grocery store. They have a lot less options and the prices are a little higher then going to Wal-Mart. They do have some great sales that go on weekly though. Last week they had all their frozen raviolis on sale. They were 2 for $7 dollars. I had never bought them before, but I thought was a great way to mix our menu up a bit.

They were a hit at my house and everyone loves cheese filled raviolis now. I love when I try new recipes and my family likes it. I know that these have been around forever but it’s taken me a while to use them. I love discovering new great foods. Plus this recipe is super quick and easy. Great for getting dinner on the table fast when your family gets home from work and school in the evenings.

Ingredients

1 pound of ground pork sausage

1/2 pound of frozen cheese filled raviolis

1 can of 6 oz tomato paste

1 can of 8 oz tomato sauce

2 cans of 15 oz diced tomatoes

1/2 cup of chopped spinach leaves

1/2 cup of shredded Parmesan cheese

1 tsp of garlic salt

1 Tablespoon of Italian seasoning

pepper

Put the raviolis on to boil. Boil until the raviolis come to the top of the water. Brown your sausage. Once browned add the tomato sauce, paste and diced tomatoes to pan as well. Add garlic salt, Italian seasoning, pepper and Parmesan cheese. Stir it all together and let simmer for 10 to 15 minutes on medium heat. Be sure to stir it often. After about 5 minutes add the chopped spinach to the sauce and stir. When the raviolis are done add them to your sauce right before serving. Now enjoy your yummy Italian dish!
