How to: Dry Apples without a Dehydrator

drying apples

I have so many apples from my trees, but no dehydrator. I have froze a few bags full, but wanted to dry some. What is a girl to do without a dehydrator? I thought I could go buy one, but even easier how about use my oven. It was such a easy process.

You will need to preheat oven to 250 degrees.

Slice apples as thin as you would like them to be.

Line your cookie sheets with wax paper.

Spread apple slices on the cookies sheets.

Sprinkle apples with either cinnamon or a pumpkin pie spice.

Bake for 1 hr to 1:20 minutes.

Remove from oven and cool before putting them in a tightly sealed bag or container for storage.
