Homemade Salad Dressings

Sometimes it seems like it would be easier to just go buy a bottle of salad dressing rather then make it. I like to make my dressing because I know exactly what is going into it. I wont lie though I don’t always make salad dressing. I also will buy still. I do love that you can control what goes into your dressings when you make them though. Here are few of my favorites that I have tried, and some that I am planning on trying.

1: Balsamic Vinaigrette: 1 package of Good Seasoning dressing mix, 1/2 cup of balsamic vinegar, 1/2 cup olive oil and 1/5 cup of water. Stir together well.

2: Ranch dressing: 1 Hidden Valley Dressing mix, 1 cup of milk and 1 cup real mayonnaise. Stir together well.

3: Creamy Italian: 1/4 cup mayonnaise, 3 tablespoons of red wine vinegar, 2 tablespoons or olive oil, 2 tablespoons of sour cream, 1 tablespoon of Italian seasoning, 1 garlic clove minced, a little chopped parsley, salt and pepper. Mix well together.

4: French: 1/4 cup of olive oil, 1/4 cup water, 3 tablespoons red wine vinegar, 2 tablespoons of each ketchup, tomato paste, brown sugar, 1/2 teaspoon of each paprika and salt. Mix together well.

5: Caesar: 1/2 cup of non-fat Greek yogurt, 2 tablespoons of grated Parmesan cheese, 1 tablespoon of each olive oil and water, juice of 1 lemon, 1 garlic clove and artichoke. Blend this all in a blender well.
