Crock Pot Chicken & Rice

crock pot chicken & rice

Life has been crazy at the Asay house. My husband and I just bought our first house. We not only bought a house, we bought a house with land. We couldn’t be more excited. We have our work cut out for us though. We have been cleaning and painting like crazy people the last few days. I am so tired of painting already, and I just started. Oh man, am I in trouble. The house is coming together though, and I can’t wait to be moved in. The kids have been putting up with a lot lately. Going to the new house in the mornings to work while my son has therapy, being dropped off at cousins houses to play, and not really having a real routine lately. We haven’t been having a real routine with dinner menu either. It’s been pizza, sandwiches and quesadillas this week.

Today I decided that I was going to get something tossed in the crock pot, so that we could have a homemade meal as a family on a Friday night. My sisters, my and my sisters sweet boys came over to check the house out as well. I invited them for dinner, so it’s a good thing I made plenty. I think everyone’s bellies were nice and full afterwards.

If there is one thing I have learned as a mom and a cook, is when life gets crazy you can depend on your crock pot. It has never failed me yet!

Crock Pot Chicken & Rice

15 frozen chicken tenders

2-10.5 oz cans of cream of chicken soup

4 cups of chicken broth

2 Tablespoons of dried onions

2 Tsp of garlic salt

1 Tsp of pepper

2 Tsp of ranch dressing seasoning

1 1/2 cups of white rice

Spray your crock pot with non-stick spray. This will make cleaning up so much easier. Add your frozen chicken tenders to the crock pot. Sprinkle the rice, onions, garlic salt, pepper and ranch seasoning on top. Next pour your broth and cream of chicken soup on top. Stir together.
