I was looking in my fridge and freezer to see what to make for dinner Thursday evening this week. I was stumped on what to make. Do you ever have this situation? Well I found chicken breast, sweet peppers and heavy cream. This would make a great pasta sauce I thought. It turned out wonderful I thought.
My mother in law has been out of town at a family reunion, so my father in law and brother in law joined us for dinner. They thought the pasta sauce was great as well.
This is another quick meal that you can whip up in no time. If you don’t have heavy cream you can use milk and more flour to make a roux for your pasta sauce.
I hope you enjoy this creamy chicken pasta sauce, and share it with everyone you know because it is so mouthwatering, and filling.
2 chicken breast, sliced thinly
1 T olive oil
5-6 small sweet peppers
1 onion-chopped
1 pint of heavy cream
1 ½ T flour
Garlic salt
Pepper
Cilantro
Basil
Place the olive oil in pan and heat. Add chicken, onions and peppers to pan and cook until the onions get caramelized, and chicken is completely done. Once it is cooked add the cream, flour, garlic salt, pepper, cilantro and basil. Turn the heat to a medium high, and whisk until thickened. Once thickened remove from heat and serve over pasta while hot, and top it with parmesan cheese.
While this is all cooking, be sure to have your favorite kind of pasta cooking as well. I made penne to put my sauce on.
