Nothing beats a great stew when you are wanting a amazing comfort food. I decided to try my luck with making Beef Stew in my Instant Pot. I bet you are wondering how is this Instant Pot so Amazing!! I will tell you all about it.  #1 it would be so much faster then making it on the stove top. #2 it would make less dishes because I could even brown the meat in my Instant Pot. I love when I don’t dirty a whole sink full of dishes when making dinner. #3 I love how easy dinner can be made in less steps with my Instant Pot.


Ever since the Instant Pot hit the cooking world there are so many great recipes and everyone wants a Instant Pot. You can still make this recipe on your stove top thought if you haven’t joined the Instant Pot train. You can can toss them in a pot on the stove top or use your slow cooker as well. Trust me either way your family & friends will love this stew. They will be saying is this healthy?, because I could eat this everyday for a week.

Amazing Instant Pot Beef Stew

1 pound of beef stew meat

2 cups of beef broth

1 can of stew tomatoes

2 cups of largely diced potatoes, peeled

2 carrots, peeled and chopped

1/2 of yellow onion, diced

1- 1 1/2 tablespoons of olive oil

 salt & pepper

1 Tablespoon of Garlic powder

1-2 cups of water

1: To brown your stew meat turn your Instant Pot to the saute mode. Put your olive oil, stew meat & onions in the pot. Saute until meat is browned.

2: Salt & pepper the meat & onions. Turn the Saute mode off on your Instant Pot. Pour in the beef broth, chopped carrots, potatoes, can of tomatoes & sprinkle with Garlic Powder.

3: Once you have the all the ingredients in make sure it’s all covered by liquid. If it’s not cover it with as much water needed to cover it all. Put the lid on top, turn to lock it and put the pressure knob to seal. Put your Instant Pot on Stew mode for 15-20 minutes.

4: Once the stew is done, manually release the pressure in your Instant Pot. Simple as that! Serve hot and Enjoy!
