How To: Clean a Waffle Maker

clean waffle maker

My family loves when I make waffles. I love it too, but hate cleaning my waffle maker. There are just some appliances that are a pain in the butt to clean. A waffle maker is one of them. I have been searching for ways to make this easier, so I wouldn’t dread making waffles ever again. I found some great tips to cleaning and caring for your waffle maker. Your family will be so happy. They can have waffles more often without a complaining mother because she doesn’t want to clean the maker. Not that we ever complain ever. Just comment on how hard it is right?? Let me know if you have any other tips on how to clean and care for a waffle maker. Leave your comments in the comment area. Thanks

1. DO NOT use cooking spray on a non-stick waffle maker. This is the biggest mistake. I totally do this every time. That will change. It will leave reside all over your waffle maker. So how do you get your waffles to not stick to the maker?? Use a stick of margarine and coat the top and bottom before pouring your waffle batter in.

2. Steam clean with a paper towel or damp wash rag. When you are finished making waffles, turn off your waffle maker and insert a couple very damp paper towels or one damp wash rag into the waffle maker and let the steam cleaning begin. Let sit for a couple of minutes. This will make it super easy to remove all the grease and goo on the waffle maker.

3. Use a wet paper towel or rag to get in the cracks and crevices.

There you go. As clean and new for the next waffle making!!
